Tweedsmuir Outdoor Centre is Scottish Crusaders self-catering Centre in the Scottish
Borders, taken over from the Borders Council. It has been redecorated and considerably
upgraded with new windows, a new kitchen, new toilets, showers, and new bunk beds.
The Centre is open all year round. This Centre can accommodate 30 people (28 in
bunk beds with an extra 2 in folding beds) at rock bottom prices of £8.25 per
person per night at weekends (Friday through Sunday), and only £7.25 per person
per night Monday through Thursday, with a discount of 10% for all Crusader Groups.
Like Combruith the Centre is available for Crusader groups, Christian youth organisations,
school parties and other interested groups. There is plenty to do around the village
of Tweedsmuir, including a visit to the
Grey Mare's Tail (a waterfall), forest tracks for walking, mountain biking, and you can do watersports
at St Mary's Loch. The nearby towns of Biggar, Peebles and Moffat offer more things
to do. The Centre is just an hour’s drive from either Glasgow or Edinburgh.
